Ballyroan Library

Architects: Box Architecture
Client: South Dublin County Council
Value: €8m

The Ballyroan Library was completed in October 2012. The building primarily functions as a library with ancillary facilities such as an impressive double height internal street which can be used as a public speaking venue, IT rooms, offices and an exhibition space. The internal propagation of sound is not compromised within the building by its open plan character through the strategic use of sound absorbing materials and innovative sound insulation design.
