Allegro Acoustics was commissioned by South Dublin County Council to provide design recommendations to minimise reverberant characteristics within the GP Hall and reduce reverberant noise build-up within a Café at the centre. This involved carrying out reverberation time testing for the GP Hall and Café followed by the development of an acoustic model for both spaces in Odeon Auditorium software. Design recommendations were subsequently made to the client to reduce noise levels in the café during its usage and minimise reverberant characteristics within the GP Hall which provided significantly better speech intelligibility for group events.
