Monread Sports Centre

This involved the evaluation of the road traffic noise impact from the M7 motorway on proposed outdoor sports grounds and design recommendations to reduce the noise impact due to road traffic. This included the development of a computational noise model to represent the M7 motorway and the representation of the sports ground to include hockey and soccer pitches. Noise mitigation measures were developed in the noise model to sufficiently minimise the noise impact on playing pitches from the adjacent motorway. A report was subsequently delivered which was included with the planning application and is to be implemented during construction phase.

The consultant for this project was David Cawley however this may not have been with Allegro Acoustics Ltd.
