Lord Edward Street, Dublin 2
Allegro Acoustics acted as Lead Acoustic Design Consultants for this hotel for music lovers, the first Hard Rock Hotel in the Republic of Ireland. Located in Temple Bar, the Hard Rock Hotel opened to the public in late February 2020. This hotel includes a restaurant, live music bar and 120 guest bedrooms. Acoustic design was critical in the design process for this hotel to enable amplified and live music performance throughout the hotel whilst maintaining superior sound isolation to guest bedrooms. This development includes renovation of the existing red brick Parliament Hotel building along Lord Edward Street which is subject to conservation protection as this building dates back to 1912. This development also includes the newly built seven floor structure on Copper Alley, with both buildings connected via an elevated glass bridge. Acoustic design plays a central role to the interior design aspect for this hotel which will have a very distinctive style and will be a major attraction to music loving tourists.
