Allegro Acoustics carried out an in-depth noise control engineering program for this 440MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power generation station. This involved completing targeted, manned environmental noise surveying, sound power and noise source evaluation on site, and the development of a 3D environmental noise model to represent the power station and surrounding area using SoundPLAN noise modelling software. Allegro Acoustics subsequently concluded specific design measures at the power station to maximise noise attenuation. Allegro Acoustics also project managed design works and subsequent installations which included structural engineering design and installation, integration of noise control engineering measures with high pressure steam systems and other physical installations to maximise noise attenuation for integral power generating elements.
